Rebecca Pierce
Rebecca Pierce, an Australian artist based in Sydney, has been successfully translating her unique creations onto clothing, home wares and accessories since 1981. Her inspiration comes from the many faces of Australia’s vast landscape and its people.
Rebecca’s very special gift for brilliant vivid and vibrant colours encapsulates Australian life in its most carefree and exuberant form. The Bec Pierce label features a wide array of products including children’s wear, bed linen, ceramics, scarfs, bags and totes, resort wear and souvenirs, all clearly idendifiable as uniquely Australian.
A number of State, National and International awards and commissions have so far highlighted Rebecca’s career. These include designing the silk scarf gift for the IOC Delegates during the Sydney 2000 Olympic bid, becoming the principal artist for The Centenary of Federation 1901-2001, working with Wedgewood and the Royal Australian Mint, and her on going work for the charity organisation NAPCAN.
Rebecca’s original paintings have gained national and international recognition and are in collections as far afield as New York, London, Korea, Italy and California. Rebecca exhibits in Australia and overseas on an ongoing basis.
